I have had my Janome 11000SE about a month now and I love it~ I also have a MC9000 which still runs fine and while the 11000 is embroidering, I can stitch on my 9000. I'm still learning alot about it, but have made some fantastic wallhangings on it. The large embroidery surface is awesome! Go for it, you won't regret it for a second!

I have a Janome 10001 and I love it. I have taken it in 2 times for a general checking over and the report came back that it was fine. I have had it for about 5 yrs and basically without problems. I like being able to quilt and embroidery without having to switch machines. oh, btw, I am new to you. I have been lurking, learning and enjoying reading from all of you. I have been waiting to post about something I knew about. So now you know who I am and hope to contribute in the future.

I used Janome 300E and 350 which were great little m/c embroidery starting machines but the 11000 offered greater embroidery area and functions etc. I have daughter and friends with Janome 11000 and glad I chose the Brother Innovis 4000D 3 years ago. Whilst 11000 machine seems reliable at first there have been problems with upgrades and parts. Several of our local dealers are no longer carrying Janome machines at all and the 11000 is now obsolete - I understand that there will not be any future models made. I have another friend who is an expert dressmaker and appliquer who has bought the latest Bernina and after using 11000 has much to learn so has not progressed as well as she hoped - she works part time and is always being interrupted at home to make clothing etc for others. Think twice about the 11000 - the extra 40mile hike for demo could be well worth it.

janome machines offer a lot more features than you get for the same price for other brands. maybe that's why the dealers made the switch.

i thought more than twice. i have no regrets.

Hi all, well my 11,000 is a year old now and I love it. I use it a lot, love doing embroidery and am always looking for "plain clothes" that I can put some design on. And yes, I do download free designs, but find that I am always running up a bill on my credit card with Embroidery Library. Their designs sew out so well. I too have tons of designs, need more time on this earth to use them at least once! I think Janome is the best of the best. No regrets ever on changing from Singer to Janome. Thanks everyone!

I have a jamome 8000 and I love it. It sews beautiful. I don't do the embroidery, I just use the blanket stitches for applique and the some of the other stitches. I have never had the first problem with this machine and it has never been serviced ..I do all that. I switch to my brother quilt club or to my Bernina Record 930. Now my Bernia is electronic and I wouldn't trade it for all the world. I mostly sew..so these machine give me everything I need and if I need a few fancy stitches now and then, the Jamome or Bernia will do it.

I have had my Janome MC 11000 SE for 18 months and love it. I am especially happy with the way it does embroidery. I sew and quilt on it as well. My advice would be to purchase your Janome from a reputable dealer that will provide training on both the sewing and embroidery features of the machine. My previous sewing machine was not digital, and I must admit that there was a learning curve for me to enjoy its many features!
