Janome 1600P up/down needle problem
 

I purchased a used Janome 1600P a few months ago. Last week the up/down needle and bobbin winder features stopped working. Has anyone had this problem?

Hi Rusmundy - I have a 4120 and have never had that problem. I don't think, from your description, that it is a simple fix (probably wrong), but if your machine is clean and no threads in bobbin case are hanging around- I would suggest you take it to where ever Janome's are sold and get it repaired.

i have that machine on my long arm. i haven't had that problem. maybe need the janome
doctor. i just looked at mine and can't figure out what the problem would be.

There are a couple of Yahoo groups for the 1600, maybe someone there might have a better idea. I personally think it's time to take it in to the shop.
