Had my machine for some months now and all was well. suddenly I am haveing tension nighmare. Just cannot seem to find the correct tension CAN ANYONE HELP PLEASE

the obvious stuff...

take the bobbin out and make sure its turned the right way

totally unthread the machine and rethread

sometimes we never find out what the problem was but lots and lots of times "just" rethreading solves it...

are you using the same thread you always did?

...also clean the bobbin area (the race)...
That shoud help, take the faceplate off and get down inside and clean it all out.

I was having some issues with my Bernina today and rethreaded several times and changed the bobbin, finally I changed the needle as well as re-doing everything else and it got better. Was extremely frustrating, had to re-start my project 3 times (new fab & stabilizer)

I have a Janome 300E embroidery machine and have the top tension set on 2 and keep it that way. It does a beautiful job. Hope this helps. Make sure you are threading it properly. EllenK
