Janome 6125 question
I have been offered a second hand Janome 6125 quilters edition for 200 Euro.
1) Is this a good machine? 2) What makes it a "Quilters Edition"? 3) Is this a reasonable price ? Thanks for any input you can give Pippa (in Italy) |
How old is it, or more importantly, how often was it used, and how was it stored?
The way it feeds might make it more of a quilter's edition. In USD that's about $245, correct? Seems a bit much to me for a used machine. Janome is very trustworthy. I would probably test drive and negotiate a lower price. I saw new ones advertised for a slae price of 299 euros when I went to look up a description of your machine. |
Thanks. Will see if I can test drive it.

Often "Quilter's Edition" is just a marketing decision. It can (but doesn't necessarily) mean that the machine has the basics that quilters want -- needle down option, ability to lower the feed dogs, etc. Most modern non-quilter's edition machines have these features nowadays, so it doesn't necessarily mean much. Years ago it might have meant more.
