Janome 6600 & Hinterberg Frame
I am looking at possibly buying a used Janome MC6600P and Hinterberg frame combo. I know nothing about either. Anyone have any feedback on either piece before I pull the trigger on this purchase?

The Janome machine is a great machine. I have had mine for several years now and enjoy using it. The only Hinterberg frames I have are quilt hoops on a stand for hand quilting and they are very well made. I was surprised at how much I could get done with them.

hinterberg makes a regular and stretch frame. i have the stretch, which i got in anticipation of getting a bigger machine some day. i love this frame. it is very sturdy and quite easy to take down and put up all by myself.

I have a Hinterberg stretch frame with 10' poles with a Voyager 17. If you want to put the Janome on the Hinterberg, you will need a seperate handle attachment for the speed and on/off control. That's what I used when I first got my regular frame and was using a Pfaff grand quilter machine. Went to the stretch frame when I got the Voyager.

This might be a consideration...the Janome is quite heavy, so do check that first....just sayin;, I have a LA so don't know about this for sure...but I also have a 6600P and I know how heavy it is...good luck! :)

I am the proud new owner of the Janome 6600 and Hinterberg Original frame. I was surprised how smooth this machine was on the frame. I can't wait to reassemble it and start practicing. Thanks for all of your feedback. :)
