I am sorry you are having problems. I was going to say the same thing. You are having bigger problems than oil. If Janome is made as I have heard by Bernina, there is only one place to oil and that is under the bobbin. That will not affect the motor or your seizing problem. I have a Bernina and if I oil it once every two yrs or so, it gets all giddy. I have had mine since 82 and it still gets giddy. Now that its older I do take it in once a yr and have it serviced. And thats about the only time it gets oiled. I know these newer machines are not the work horse mine is, but you need to see your dealer or someone that is able to fix it.

Again Sorry about your problems. I hope you get it fixed and soon. There is nothing worse than having machine problems when you are in the middle of your biggest brain storm

Good luck.

Rita

I probably will have more problems with all the oiling I did. I oiled everything I thought moved. Probably the wrong thing to do. I have taken it and my brother to a dealer for work. They will service the Janome and the Brother only needs the broken needle out I think. I should call them today or tomorrow to see if they've found anything out. They told me 3 days turnaround time but I'm anxious to get them back...

Thanks for all the info. I did just order a new manuel from Sears. It seems that the Kenmore is the same machine. The model # was the same and I got it from Janome on-line. Hate to buy one when I know I have one but just can't find it. I'm pretty buried in this sewing and computer room. I need some one to come and clean it out and start over. HA HA I'm afraid they'd turn and run.
