Just wondering if you have the manual or have checked "the google" because there is a lot of information on bobbins on this machine. I hope you find your solution!!

This is a reputable online seller:
http://www.sewingpartsonline.com/bob...102261103.aspx You can click on your specific model here: http://www.sewingpartsonline.com/jan...odel-list.aspx and then see all of the parts that fit it. Going this route, you might find OEM as well as non-OEM bobbins. Bobbins are extremely machine specific. Even very small differences in size or shape will adversely affect stitching, and some bobbins will actually damage machines. |
I have, and have had, several Janome machines. Haven't seen the Harmony, but all my machines prefer Janome bobbins. If you look carefully at the spindle in the middle of the bobbin, Janome bobbins have a "J" engraved on the spindle where the thread winds. While "15" bobbins might look the same, Janome bobbins have some ingredient besides the plastic. Have you tried more than one bobbin? Different threads? Good luck. Ann

My Janome is very picky too, can't use regular class 15's; they HAVE to be Janome brand or I have problems.
I buy them on Amazon but they're not cheap. I have 2 Janomes though (my main machine + my class machine) so I've slowly accumulated a good supply. I'd love to buy them from my dealer but they want about 150% the price they are on Amazon....ouch! I have an older (1990's) Kenmore that was made by Janome...THAT machine *will* handle regular class 15's and I've even gotten it to work with class 66's, but it's a vertical bobbin, not a drop-in like my other 2. I think drop-in bobbin machines are more sensitive to having exactly the right bobbin. |
sewnoma is your machine also the 4052? guess i'll call the above mentioned and see if they have them. thank you all!
