I'm seriously considering the Janome Horizon, I've read lots of reviews but what I want to know is, those of you who have it, what DON'T you like about it, if anything, and have any of you tried quilting on it yet? How did it perform?

i too want to know..so spill the beans...

I don't have it but I've read quite a bit about it. The only complaint I've seen is that it hesitates when sewing over some seams.

My only complaint with mine is the weight of it right now, I am pregnant, and need hubbs the heavy lifter to pack it up for me for classes. I can honestly say no complaints, I love it!

I don't think that machine is meant to travel to class, it is so big and heavy! Might be a good time to say " I need a Janome Jem" :) I too am interested in the Horizon, would be interesting to hear what people don't like!I have the Janome 9500, which is heavy. I love it and not sure I want to trade it in on the Horizon, but how many machines can one have?

I have one and I love mine.

I bought a Janome Jem to take to classes, also got one of those little sew steady tables for it, I highly recommend it. I was taking my old reliable Brother to classes for years until it started feeling like it weighed 50 lbs. Seriously, you can never have too many machines.

I have one and have no complaints.

but we really want to know what you love about it and what you dont like..what you wish it had etc...does it come with a quarter inch foot and a walking foot and any other things that a quilter would need...I have a Bernina which I have bought all those things for and the walking foot alone was $180 Australian dollars so it would be good if those things came with it. (easier to convince hubby!)
My main question would be does it handle bulky seams well because if it doesnt then that might be a deal breaker.
I need to be talked into it as I love the look of it and want a machine with more throat space....
I think I will go and talk to a dealer this morning and see what they offer...

I was hoping to get more input too, let me know what the dealer says, my dealer did an entire introduction class on the machine but I didn't go because at the time I wasn't interested but now I am.
