I just got a Janome L-392 from Craigslist. It sounds good and it came with a few feet but no instruction manual. Does anyone have info on this machine like how to thread it and where to oil? I am going to try correct bobbins and new needle and maybe oil it before taking it into be tuned-up. Also I think that my FM and SID feet from my Singer fit it! Hurray!!!!!!!!!

First go to the Janome website and you may find a partial manual there. You should also be able to find the accessory list for the machine.

Then you can also go to your local Janome authorized service provider and they will be able to provide exactly what you need. You can find your local service provider by going to their website as well.

You will find lots of info on this machine if you look for its twins, the Janome Threadbanger TB-12, or the Janome HD1000 (current edition), L-344, and even a few others. This is a very nice machine, simple but all metal and reliable. I got one used for my sister and was loathe to give it up!

Do a search on patternreview forums for threadbanger and I believe you will find plenty of help...

I got one of these machines and I can't even find the off switch. I thought I'd love this machine and I don't like it much at all!
