trying to sew...and my thread keeps on breaking because the needle is rubbing up against the bobbin case holder. Ive tried working with the tension, and changing the needle, and dialing the distortion knob...still has the needle pinned up against that wall. if I try to manually push the needle down its a bit stiff.....what should I do?

Take out the bobbin case and blow (canned air) or brush out any lint build-up, because sometimes it will affect the positioning.

Is it the correct needle for your machine? Is it inserted all the way(make sure the screw is really loose before inserting). Is the flat part of the needle facing the correct way? Did you break a needle just before this problem started? If it's still hitting the bobbin case the machine may be out of time, and may need a trip to the repair shop.
