Janome New Home 7700QCP vs Janome Horizon MC 7700QCP
I am shopping for a new-to-me-machine. I would like to know what the difference is between the Janome New Home 7700QCP, and the Janome Horizon MC 7700QCP. I understand the New Home is the replacement of the other, but why AND how??? Thank you friends

Horizon had to be sold by sticks n' bricks "Horizon"-authorized dealers. New Home could "officially" be sold over the internet.
Otherwise they are the same machine with a different color faceplate. |
I had a Horizon 7700 before I upgraded to a Janome that has embroidery.
I believe the biggest difference is the accessories included - most notably the extension table. I seem to remember someone mentioning the cover and included feet may be different. Hope this helps. |
skip the 7700.
if you can afford an 8900, that's the way to go. the 8200 is also excellent. just not as many accessories; fewer stitches; and [i think ... not sure ...] top speed is not as fast as the 8900. the dual feed mechanism on the 8000 series is waaaaaay easier to use. i almost never used the regular feet. :) |

if you can afford an 8900, that's the way to go. I have the original red 7700 and do like it, but if I was shopping for a new Janome I would be looking at the 8900SE. Michelle |
