Janome quarter inch foot

I watched some Donna Jordan video's and like the way she uses a quarter inch foot that does not have the flange to the side. Does anyone know if Janome makes one similar to hers for a low shank machine? I've checked the web site, but may have overlooked it. Wanting one to fit a MC6500....low shank.

Hmmm, I keep finding ones with the side guide. I use another foot I have also but not sure of it's name. it has silver toes on each side with clear plastic inside each one and i use where the clear plastic meets the metal as the "guide". works well enough. Still like the one with the quarter inch guide bar.

I think if you got Straight Stitch Foot | Part Number: 200331009 that it may be very close to a quarter inch on either side. It looks like one of that part number has a second hole with out an opening which I don't understand - here are some for low shank machines without the guide.

I hated that flange so took the pliers to it and broke flange off, works fine also used the 1/4 inch foot from my old brother machine on my Janome.

I like the flange or bar or whatever it is on my Elna's 1/4" foot (may be similar to Janome"s). If I want a "scanter" seam, I just make sure the fabric doesn't go all the way to the flange.

I have one that came with my Brother machine. If you have a snap on foot it will work

I did the same thing. The flange 1/4 foot always gave me wider then 1/4 inch.

I bought two of the flange 1/4 inch feet and just broke the flange off one of them. This was advised by my Janome dealer. Works so much better when sewing HST's .

I find it easier, and for me more accurate to set the needle with the regular foot and use the edge to get my quarter inch. The flange tends to move a bit, just enough to mess up the seam.

I like to use Janome's clear view 1/4" foot. It's got red markings for 1/4" and 1/8" plus two edge guides (that you don't have to use), one for 1/4" and one for SITD.
