am looking to buy a used Janome MC 11000.
What do you quilters know about this machine?
I have read that it has bobbin issues?
Any suggestions, good and or bad will be appreciated.
Even used this is an expensive machine.

I have Janome 8000 has made 100's of tops did embroidery first few years with it but haven't in last 8+ years kids had a fit everything they owned had something on it !! Mine is a great machine and would love to upgrade and get the "urge" again mine I need to hold when winding bobbin and come to think of it ..used to beep when bobbin was half way then almost empty ?? doesn't anymore wonder if I have a issue? Will yours have a warranty or from an individual ?

I just bought the 11000. I haven't used it much but I like what I've seen from it so far. If you buy from a dealer, maybe you could get lessons on it. My dealer is giving me free lessons as long as I need them. Which hopefully won't be too many lessons as it's a VERY heavy machine!

I went on youtube and saw all it does . It like three in one sewing, quilting and embroidery.
Cannot find one local but have found a few on ebay.

I've not heard about any bobbin issues. I've got the 9000 and love it. I test drove this machine before I bought my Bernina and was very impressed.

I have this machine and I absolutely love it! I have not had any bobbin issues. My husband got it for me from e-bay. He checked with the seller and felt she was a reputable seller. I have not had any classes. For sewing, quilting, I really have not needed them. I just read the manual. I would like some classes on embroidery. I have done embroidery using the basic designs on the machine, but I have not imported designs and stuff like that. It's just a matter of getting in there and figuring it all out. It's a great machine. Expensive, yes, but worth it!

Mayra,
PM me if you are interested but I have a 10000 that I am am going to sell and I really don't see much difference in these machines. I had mine serviced in 2009 and have not used it since. They are great machines I just rrefer my brother and don't need two.
