Hello! I have all of my squares cut out to make a jean quilt. Just basic squares. I have bought some of the Schmetz Denim needles. I am wondering about thread

Do you think some thread work better with denim? I am planning on using Alex Anderson Masterpiece for piecing. Do you think this thread is ok?

I think I would opt for a slightly heavier thread. The comments in this thread (no pun intended :rolleyes: ) might help:

i was going to suggest a heavier thread because of the weight of the quilt. when it's moved around, the weight puts more stress on the seams

ok thanks for your reply and the link. The masterpiece is #50 and I do have some King tut that is #40 I will use that.

i'd use a quilting thread. I use it in my hand piecing of my EPP
