Jelly role question

I have a jelly role with 42 strips. If I do the jelly roll quilt (one strip after another) what size will it be? thanks in advance for the. Help.

Approximately 52 x 64. Have fun!!

The length will depend upon how wide you make it. Each strip is approximately 40" long x 42 strips equals 1680 running inches. If you make it 50" wide it will be 66" long, if you make it 54" wide, it will be 62" long; if you make it 56" wide, it will be 60" long, etc.

The finished size will depend on how you join your strips, and how you trim them up, but a rough guide is 50 x 60 inches. I like to add borders to mind to build them up to a single/twin sized bed. They are lots of fun! Enjoy

If you are making a "Jelly Roll Race" quilt, by design, it will always come out 64.5 inches long (as long as your seams are a scant .25 inch). If you have 40 strips it will be just about 50 inches wide. The more strips you add, the wider the quilt becomes, but always stays the same length.

Just a hint, I added 6 strips to my jelly roll race to make it a bit longer. But I did add them at the end. It's an easy pattern to duplicate and not make it look like something has been added.
