I put the pattern in EQ7 with four fabrics, and it looks great! There are about a dozen layouts using this block, so have fun picking out your design. If I knew how to show a picture from EQ7, I would, but I don't. Sorry.

I've only gotten a couple jelly rolls, but what I did get generally had 3 or 4 strips of each fabric. Never found one with all different fabrics. Would like to, however.

Oh, I love Tuesday Morning, but need to stay out of there, always buying FQ bundles, kits and jelly rolls. I have so much fabric already, so need to use up what I have.

I think the four fabrics would work great with that pattern.

I've not been in Tuesday Morning for a while. I don't recall seeing any fabric in our local one. I'm headed to town, this afternoon, I may stop by.

I think you could make 4 fabrics work in this quite nicely. One idea would be to sew each set together in a different order so the colors would be broke up more. Very pretty colors. Keep us posted on what you decide.

I agree - if you switch the way you stitch your strips, you can create a nice group of varied blocks.

I just finished up that method using the MSQ site video. I had purchased a jelly roll at my LQS for $17.95. I didn't like the colors, all way too bright for my tastes, but I sewed them according to that tute and they came out adorable. I put white sashing between the blocks to "quiet" it down but I really like that technique, fast and simple even for me. I actually drove up to the quilt shop today
and she had no more at that price but they are now $44.95. way out of my price range I'm afraid.

I say give it a go and you'll like the way it finishes up.

I made the 3 Dudes quilt pattern from M* with all of my scraps of fabrics. I love having lots of color in my quilts.

Plano Debbie: This is a beautiful scrap quilt!!

I just watched the video and would like to make the 3dudes pattern, Jenny is wonderful and explains things very well. Quilts using that pattern are beautiful. After making 9 srappy quilts this year I am really starting to like them better than my usual matchy-matchy quilts.

Thanks! I love watching all of the tutorials on Missouri Star Quilt website. Since I make so many baby quilts, every time I watch a fun tutorial I make that as the next baby quilt. I had never used a jelly roll, and cut all of those 2.5" strips from scraps of fabric. Now I know how to make it quicker with a jelly roll!
