Jellyroll?

Can somebody please tell me what jellyroll means in reference to quilting?

It is a group of fabrics, usually coordinating, precut into 2 1/2" strips.

40 used to be the norm...I noticed some of the brand names now are 28 or so. I think some of the Riley Blakes are 24. Always check before you buy because most of the patterns I've seen use the whole 40. You wouldn't want to run short and not find another matching roll.

Go to Google Images and type in 'jelly roll quilt' and you'll see some lovely examples of quilts. Happy quilting!

If you meant the word itself, as far as I know it's a term coined by Moda for their 2 1/2" bundles.
