I go to local libraries, book stores, sewing clubs, quilt shops, etc and post her post card then people will know they can order her book through the place displaying the card!

This year she got smart and also has on the back the list of places she will be doing book signings!

The attitude of the Northern States army to the African Americans was well written, and bought to my mind Scarlett O'Hara thinking about how if the Northerners are so scared of African Americans (not what she called them), then why did they fight a war to free them? For me, this evoked memories of my Great Uncles and Uncles and brothers who fought for Australia in WW1 and WW2, Korea and Vietnam but were not legally citizens of Australia as they were Aboriginal Australians.
I would prefer more character focused writing than a history lesson, and I do love history. Just not war history. I grew up with a father who had been to four wars, and everyone would give him war books for his birthday and christmas. He would quietly donate them to the local Returned Services League. Maybe this is where I get my feelings towards this from?

Anyway, I will buy the next one to see if it is different.

I've ordered her first book from the library and will read in in order. I have previously read one, but didn't realize they were a series. I love books in series.

I just reread Gone with the Wind, and am just finishing a sequel I found at Goodwill - Scarlet by Alexandra Ripley. Even though it's not written by Magaret Mitchell, Scarlet's and Rhett's characters are so well done it seems to be the same author! I'm really enjoying it because GWTW seemed to leave me hanging at the end.

Sent a PM and spelled Jennifer's name wrong. Short memory from this page to the PM.... (that is because I am getting older, ha ha)

The book is out already. I saw it in the TX City, TX Quilt Shop, Cactus Quilts.

I listen to her books on CD in my car. Enjoyed Union Quilters that way and several others. Got so hooked that I'd get home and take the CD out of the car and put it in the player in the sewing room and quilt to the story!

I wish I them on audio..I love to listen to books!
