Jennifer Chiaverini's new book
Sonoma Rose, just published, is a good story. Not very much about quilting, but a piece of the story about Elizaberth Nelson, and a sympathetic view of a woman's life is the early 1900's. I enjoyed it.

Thanks for your "mini" review... will see if our library is bringing it in.
|
Thanks for the reminder - I just went and put it on hold at my library :) I usually do that before it comes out and missed the boat :(

I got on the waiting list at my library, and they just notified me that I can pick up the book. I'm looking forward to this particular book because I always wondered what the heck happend to Elizabeth. Hopefully this book will have the answer.

I have had it on hold waiting for the order to come in for about 3 weeks. Just finishing up The Union Quilters and gotta say it seems more like a book about the civil war battle scene than a quilt series book. Still enjoying it, don't get me wrong, but would prefer more focus on the quilting and Elm Creek.

After reading her site info ... decided not a book I'm interested in. Not sure if anyone else has looked at the preview so will post it here. http://elmcreek.net/books/sonoma-rose/chapter/

it is on order!

I happened to be at the library the day they put their copy into circulation so it is now in my stack to read.
Cheers, K |
I pre ordered it, but my copy won't be here until Monday. Pacing!

Hmmmm... after reading that on her page, I agree with you, Thimble - not my interest, either. The person in line after me will be happy that they get the book 3 weeks earlier.
