You can use a Joanns coupon unless they already have their magazines on sale at 10% off. That is what I saw at my local Joanns over the weekend. I wait until I can use a 40 -50% off coupon instead.

I bought it today at Joann's. It was 8.99, since all magazines are always 10% off, no coupons allowed. But my VIP card took another 10% off. You too can get a VIP card if you belong to a guild and make donation quilts.

Which is all the time, so good luck trying to use that coupon! Plus, they've reset the store so you can't browse the magazines.

Barnes & Noble has 40% coupons often, so I print those out and spend a happy hour or two browsing their magazines before deciding which one to buy. They have a bigger selection than Joann's does anyway.

At the JoAnn's closest to me, you can use a coupon if you take the % off the regular price and not the sale price. If the coupon is 40% off and the item is on sale for 10% off then I use the 40% off coupon taken off the regular price. Hobby Lobby does this so JoAnn's started doing it here too. All Joann's should do the same thing. Some managers aren't afraid to do what they can to keep customers and keep profit up, some say Oh I'm not allowed to do that.

This is the way it SHOULD be done, and the way most retailers work. But the Joann's in my town refuses to do this. So I refuse to shop there.

YMMV, etc.

I bought one at Joann's, could not use a coupon as they had discounted it 10%. The magazine is great, has an interesting story about how MSQC got started.

I call the shop all the time because I order from Missouri Star Quilt Co. and always hope that she will accidentally answer the call. No luck yet. Dang! I think I will save up and make a trip to her store (make sure she will be there) just to see her in person. I feel like she is a good friend and someone I can trust. Anyone else love her this much? Anyone else not know about her magazine, which is going to be awesome??!!??

Stalker. :) ;) LOL You crack me up. I'm new here, and I already love her, too. Such a great style & personality to match!

It's difficult for me to get out and Kroger may not have it anyway so I just bought and downloaded the digital edition from F&P. I really like these digital mags! I have a sub to Quilter's World and love it. You can print out pages you want, patterns etc. and sometimes I load it on my laptop to sit and view it in the living room! I just looked through the pdf and there's a great article about MQC and the family.

My Joanns won't trade either on the amount off if it is already marked down. I have to take the ten percent..so I usually don't. I wait.

Now i know who you mean. i like her because she's not a size Zero!

AlienQuilter 01-14-2013 02:25 PM

Well, Joann's did not have it. Will check out Barnes and Noble and see if they have it. Hmm, I have a nook, so may see if I can buy just a single digital edition?
