Jersey backing
Has anyone ever tried jersey fabric for a backing? I think it might be nice for the back of a corduroy quilt top I've made. Any recommendations for quilting? Big stitch hand quilting or machine (walking foot)?

I have a jersey quilt made by a great aunt about 40 years ago ( she worked for the Hanes factory and got scraps). The backing is a solid piece of jersey - the quilt is sized for a double bed, and has been washed and dried countless times! It is tied, and has held up beautifully!

it would be difficult to hand quilt- good candidate for a tied quilt- is machine quiltable as long as you baste well/control the stretch
