What are her patterns like? I love the Kashmir quilt (in the Keepsake and Hancocks of Paducah catalogues) and looked up the kit - it says skill level is beginner. Would it really be as easy as that?

Yes, as long as you feel comfortable in your level of paper piecing and log cabins.
Her Kashmir line is gorgeous! Perfect time of year to use these colors.

Oh, dear. I have never done a log cabin and have only tried paper piecing once. I like hand work, thought she did hand sewing.

I have the fabrics for this, just havnt begun yet. Need to uphold my promise to finish several ufo's before starting anything new

I love this pattern and chose to make it for my Mom - she doesn't like it - bummer, she likes the traditional patterns, still going to make it for me!
