Jo Ann's Veteran's Day Sale
I received a flyer, email, and text message with a coupon for 60% off. Plus if you have a military ID, which I do, there was an additional 20% off your entire order. I went twice! This morning I went and bought four yards of warm & natural batting, $14.99, with 60% off. Then later I had to go back because I was out of basting spray and figured I would take advantage of the 60% coupon that I still had. So I bought another four yards of the batting. I bought a total of eight yards of batting, a gingerbread house for my grandsons, and spray basting for $77!!!

I bought a rotary cutter blade sharpener and a FQ of a couple shimmery fabrics for my Jellyfish art quilt and used 3 coupons and only spent $10! There were so many bolts behind the cutting table it looked like the fabric threw up all over the place!!! lol
I went and bought a cricut on sale! pretty excited to use it for my new calling in my church! The girls will love the new stuff that I churn out of my cricut!
I bought a pair of 4" Gingher embroidery scissors for $12. I just started making hexies and this seemed like a nice present to myself for a little project kit. :-)
I should have gone shopping. I have an ID as well......
I never even thought of a Joanns sale or I would have gone too, only thing is I don't need a thing!
I purchased a Fiskars rotating cutting mat (the Olfas were on sale) and a June Taylor cutting matt/ironing pad with a handle. Saved over $40. You can use multiple coupons as long as the number running on the bottom is different.
I bought all the fabric for a new quilt, a few yards of miscellaneous fabric and scissors for $80. Had 3 60%off coupons. Saved $65.
I didn't get to go, hour drive, but my dad had a doctor appt nearby and he and mom stopped by with coupons and brought me home a bag of fabrics, about 10 yards. Love getting surprises.
My friend and I went yesterday. No military ID, but with coupons together we spent $38.00 and saved $49.57. We buy batting, and backings together because she does my quilting for me, and I do her piecing.
I went also did quite well!
I did well at the red tag bin.. they had red tag clearance take an additional 50 percent. I scored a wide quilt backing (108 wide, 100 percent cotton, reasonable quality) for $4.00 per yard, I took all that was left .. over 5 yards! I also scored some of their "premium" quilters cottons for $3.00 per yard. I was happy!
I bought what I always do, when I have a coupon and don't "need" anything...rotary cutter blades. Not exciting, but they will always be used!
I saw some fabric I wanted but was waiting for a good sale or coupon. When I saw the 60% off coupon, off to JoAnns I went for 2 yards. While waiting in line I eye-balled the candy...might as well get a couple pieces. GRRRRRRRR, the 2 yards I was going to use the 60% coupon on was on sale (no sign). I got 60% off my 50 cent piece of candy!!!

I bought batting and some material, I saved $60 with my 3 coupons and a military ID.
I bought a mini batik jelly roll and two large spools of thread: $10.20 with tax included !
[QUOTE=cynicalbeauty;6400330] .... lovin' this: Is a nine patch part of a twelve step program?
I missed it.
NEVER got there !! My friend came down 4 hours later and there was NO TIME. BOO HO!!! Always like the 60% off coupon !! I was surprised that nothing was on sale online. Usually they mark everything at least 10% off so you can't use the coupon !! I guess NOT this TIME !!
I bought tons of novelty fabrics for I Spys... and got a bunch off their red tag racks, which were HALF the red tag price! I got some big pieces for just $1.50- $3.00 a yard! Also bought a new huge Olfa cutting mat. Great sale.

I went on Mon., DH had plans with DS that didn't include me on Sat. & Sun., so I felt he owed me coming along so that I could use his Veteran's ID for the 20% off total purchase, including sale items. I was going to buy 2 queen size Warm & Natural battings, however, there were only 2 left, so I only took one home with me. I did buy fusible fleece and Wonder Under because it was half off, along with a variety of items: sewing & sewing machine needles, buttons, plastic canvas (to use as bottoms to the Bow Tucks bags), 2 beautiful fabrics that were in the Red Tag aisle for 50% off, that sale price. I also came home with a few yards of Christmas fabric, I know I have a lot, but I needed bigger yardage than what I had, a quilting magazine and some zippers. According to the sales slip, I saved twice the amount that I spent, so it was a good deal, at least for me.

60% coupon
I had a 60% on my phone and as I walked into Joanns a girl gave me an extra coupon she had. I bought a pair a ginger pinking sneers, an 8 inch serrated gingher and a queen batting pkg for 50%.
I am so pleased because just the regular price of the pinking sheers paid for all three things saving nearly $65.00. |
