I downloaded JoAnn's app for my iphone sometime ago in anticipation of the new JoAnn's opening the end of June.
I went to the store once right after they opened, Purchased one small thing just to get the coupons they gave you for my next trip. Well of course today was my next trip and I forgot the coupons! BUT.... I opened the app and it has coupons on there for the week. You add to your "wallet" and then just call it up when you check out. The cashier puts in the code number from the app coupon! I had five to choose from! Super easy, no paper coupons to remember! Wonderful thing this technology! lol Also found the perfect piece of fabric by searching their site on my phone.

I wonder if this app would work on smartphones?

I got this app right after it came out and when I tried to use it at the store, none of the employees, including the manager didn't know how to redeem them! I had to walk them through the process. .. but it is pretty handy to get them on my phone as well as the mail and emails!!!

I have the whole family using the app!

Hi Thanks for the info about Joanns. When I tried to download it on my phone a page came up to ask about my credit card info. Did this happwn to you when you installed it on your phone? Just trying to be careful.

No it was a free app - I don't understand why it wanted your credit card info. . . .
