Joann's has a new coupon, I just received it in an email it's good the 12th through 18th, at 50% off.
|
joann's never used to be so generous with 50% off coupons. makes me wonder if they're in financial trouble. i'm always happy to do my share to help them out, but it does make me curious.
the one near me me always has people in line for cutting, but i did notice that they've cut back their staff, and people are buying much less and only sales stuff, like left-over halloween for next year. it's a good thing there's me. |
I was just at mine after work yesterday. I used my 50% off for batting. There was a small wait at the cutting table and they had 4 people working it. One was new. They had two check out people working and there was a wait there. One was new there too. They were also talking about another new girl. So, theyve been hiring at ours.
|
lucky you. the one near me has had long waits and very bad service. maybe i should shop at yours.
also, i'm not getting 50% off coupons here and i don't think anyone else here is either. maybe that's why business is slow. i do get their emails and their snail mails, but no 50's. huh! |
I can always email you my link now can't I. HEHE they have to honor it

DO IT TO IT !!!

Hi,
JoAnn's is getting like all of the other stores who offer "great" coupons. I went there today as they have a great weekend sale. I had two 50% off coupons. Of course almost everything in the store was already on sale including the magazines. They won't honor a coupon on a sale item not even if it is off the original price. The only thing I could use the coupons on were two zippers. Even the clearance fabrics were already on sale. I hope they don't go out of business. We have one quilt shop in our whole county and none of our walmarts carry fabric anymore. We have a Boscov's in our main shopping mall. They run full page ads in the local paper with wonderful coupons. The only problem is that if you read the fine print nothing in the store is eligible for the coupon. |
you're right. that's why i hate them. they're such weasels. i try to use my coupons for notions (templates, little rubber feet for the bottoms of templates, etc.) because they're never on sale.

PM me and I'll forward the email I received. I've been getting them regularly since I signed up to receive online specials.
|
if you intended to snail mail my real-life addy is
barbara butterfly 10 summit avenue metuchen, nj 08840 thanks |
gigi - if you look closely near the top of the ad that came in your email, you'll see a link that says something like 'if you can't see this, click here' and it will take you to the website. then you can copy and paste the website address to a message here and share with everyone! :D
i have been getting the coupons via e-mail, but not this weekends. next week is the coupon commotion sale (lots of different 50% off coupons). i have two paper copies from the stores, but it will be interesting to see if i get the e-mail, since i have been getting them once i re-signed up. |

|
you should have it as an email now
|
I went to their website and signed up for emails etc, and for their website where they have their projects.
|
yes, thank you.
now, did that come in it's own email? as a result of signing up? well, count me in! |

i noticed that as soon as they stopped allowing you to use the coupons on sale items (if an item was already 20% off and the coupon was for 40% off, they would refer back to the original price and do the 40%), they began to offer more coupons, but only because most of their items are already on sale, and less of a discount because they know that you can't use the bigger discount anymore!
I don't think they are in danger of going out of business, they are beginning to carry better fabrics which, even at $1 or $2 off per yard is still cheaper than the LQS - although I won't stop shopping my LQS because i like to shop at mom and pop stores and they do have better fabrics!! |
mine won't let you go back to the original price with a coupon. they used to. and i have no LQS. so there i am. joann's or online. my joann's only carries keepsake and debbie mumm amd m'liss. not a huge selection. it's a teeny store.

I believe that JoAnns just posted better than planned third quarter profits. So that doesn't sound like they're in trouble. The JoAnns in this area will be opening a Super JoAnns in 2009 and the current stores are in closeout mode. No coupons honored. Boo Hoo! Hancocks will take JoAnn coupons though. So will Michaels and AC Moore Craft Stores. (At least in this area.)
|
wow! wherever you are, i'm going there! maybe they're expanding because the little guys are being run out of business. do you think? i'm not getting a super store near here. there is one in nj but it's pretty far from me. are they a chain or a franchise? the people near me don't know what they're doing and keep making monetary mistakes to my advantage even after i tell them. the staff is also slobby.
|
JoAnn has an online catalog each month if you subscribe. You can order on line and use the online coupon. Not sure if they still have it, but they used to have an online program where after you purchased a specified amount, all purchases after that were shipped free. You can also check on line and find out where the smaller and super stores are for your state. When I was down south and we didn't have anything but WalMart I ordered everything online and was pleased.

Thanks for posting the web site. I suspect I'm not the only one who used it to sign up with JoAnn's Emails!

Joann's fabric is great for the charity quilt work I do. OR if I'm trying something new and don't want to pay an arm and a leg for the fabric.
I do like the LQS better for their personalized attention (AHH CUSTOMER SERVICE), their top notch cutting skills and just all around ambience. Their in shop specials, the great deals they spring on customers, etc. BUT unfortunately, those wonderful things do not make charity quilts. Joann's is great for someone who already possess the quilting skills, knowledge about fabric, etc. When I'm in doubt I go to the LQS. Our shop is nice but it's all crammed in a small space. I did purchase on Saturday with my 50% off coupon 10 yards of warm and natural batting for $55! It is 90" wide which means I can get a lot of quilts out of one yard! Have a great day |
thank you for the link, I just printed a coupon
