Joann's and Hobby Lobby have same fabric in FQ's and 1/8 yard rolls.
 

I had coupons at both Hobby Lobby and Joann's and decided to go there and see if there was anything I could buy. Notice I did not say "want to buy" because almost everything is on sale and the coupons are only good for regular priced items. I found two fat quarter packs at Joann's not on sale that were in the lilac color family and since I am rather scarce in that color decided they would work out fine. Went across the road to the Hobby Lobby and found a 1/8 yard roll of various shades of lilac that looked like they might go with the fabric from Joann's. Came home and opened all the fabric and guess what ? The 5 fat quarters I bought at Joann's are the same 5 of the 8 fabrics in the 1/8 yard roll I bought at Hobby Lobby. They are packaged under the respective names of where I bought them. I was surprised but it turned out great for me, I really like the colors.

I have found the same fat quarter bundles, and matching pieces at Joann's and AC Moore!! Did you know Joann's will take competitors coupons?

FYI- at Hobby Lobby you can use your coupon even if something is on sale. They take the 40% off the regular price.

that is really odd as HL is its OWN enitity and most of their fabrics are made just for them..same with Joanns! strange in deed!

Well, I thought it was strange too. I was very surprised. And btw, thanks for telling me I can take the 40% off coupon and use it at Hobby Lobby even if it is on sale. I noticed that our Hobby Lobby is not ordering any more quilting books but they have added a fleece line of fabric. Our Joann's has all the quilting books right by the registers and since you have to form a line, this causes a bit of commotion with me standing there looking at them. The cash register lady asked me several times if she could help me and then all the buyers waited in line till I told them I was just looking. Wonder who thought of putting those books in that area ?
