Joann's has muslin bolts on sale online. Not being able to see or touch them I am wondering about the quality. Which is the best quality-Super, 200 ct. or Roc-Lon? TIA

If I plan to buy muslin, I tear open the packaging to feel it and hold it up to the light.

i've only purchased the 200-count. i haven't tried the others yet.
i wouldn't recommend the 200 count for hand quilting, but i do like it otherwise. :-) |
I love the Kaufman 200 ct muslin from Joann's. It's very nice quality.

It seems to me that every bolt is different, even with the same name. I have to feel and hold it to the light to check it out

since I have doubts about ordering online, I better go in to the store and feel it myself. thanks everyone for all the feedback!

I am a feely girl too! I have such a hard time ordering anything!

I bought the packaged muslin from Jo-Ann's last year - one for myself and a "prezzie" for a friend.
I just looked to get the info for you and there is no count on the bolt, but it was about $15.00. It is not good enough to use on a quilt. I use it for craft projects only. It was very embarrassing to give a gift to a quilter and then realize that it is almost useless to them. |
Don't forget to use your 40% coupon, yes for the whole bolt. I have a friend who works there and she likes the Kona,

I prefer the Kona with the 40% off coupon
