Krista, what's the pattern you're using? I love your blocks!

Thanks! The block is Swoon. I found the picture on the web, and drafted the pattern myself.

I also made four blocks for another quilt that I will post a little later. Didn't get as much done as I wanted but I did get something done, so that's good.

That's a lovely top, IrishNY... A lot accomplished in one day.

Sorry to say that I pooped out. I got so wrapped up in my hockey game, I forgot all about any kind of sewing. (My Bruins won by 5 to 2).

Got the backing for the D9P top I put together this weekend..When my girls get home from school they will sandwich it for me!! Then I can begin hand quilting...I had a very productive weekend!! 2 Bow Tucks, and making the entire top for the quilt. If I had the backing already, it would have been further along last night..Thanks for the sewing company!! Till we meet again....!!!!!

Not fair. My computer has been down for about a week. Something to do with our provider. Finally back up today. I want in on the next Virtual Quilt day or weekend. I am working on some new to me techniques and could use the encouragement

Getting the quilting started on weekend project. Just a stiple, so it's going pretty fast.

Ditto. We have the same provider. Is it always the third weekend? So I can put it on the calendar.

This is a late post; I did get my quilt to the LAQ this morning. Thanks to the virtual quilt weekend; I was able to get my 97 1/2" square Double Slice Layer Cake quilt made. I call it my "Quilt in a Weekend".

Sewbizgirl, beautiful quilt. I love the colors.

sewbizgirl, love the colours you have given me an idea for some fabric I have.

What a fun weekend! This was my first virtual quilt weekend, and it surely won't be my last! Seeing all your progress gave me so much motivation. Got the binding sewn to the front of my quilt, and hand stitched it down half way around. Looking forward to meeting you all again for another VQW.

I missed it too because I also have computer problems. I didn't get much sewing done, but I did tackle cleaning off my big board. I have been collecting fabric scraps, so they all were cut into useable pieces, aka Bonnie Hunter method and sorted and put into new storage containers of the plastic boxes that salad comes in. All labeled and neatly stacked now and I can press and cut on my big board again.

Hope to catch one of these weekends and be able to post when computer is back up and functioning. I am going to quilting retreat this weekend so hope to be very productive and not spend too much time wine tasting
