I know a lot of you have 98, do any of you have the 2010? do you like it why this machine and not the 2000 or 98? any advantage that you know of Thanks. I have wanted a Juki for a long time and don't want to get a model that is less popular. It has a speed control, does the 98? thanks all, I know Juki is a much posted topic but I haven't seen mention of the 2010 or 2000

The 2000 does not have the speed control, that is the only difference between the 2000 and the 2010. I got mine (2000) for $850 (no tax or shipping charges). I think I have seen the 2010 on Amazon for 949. So, if you want the speed control for $100 I would say its worth it. And, I think the 98 is not made anymore, but that doesnt mean you cant fine one. SO far, I love mine! :)

I've had the 98-TLQ (can still get new on Ebay) for about 3-4 years and just bought the 2000. I use the 2000 on my frame and 98 to piece. Honestly I run my full speed when I piece so the speed control was not worth the extra $100 to me. These babies will sew till they drop dead. I have never had any problems but I clean every use and oil every other use. If you like the speed control I'd say get the 2010 but why buy a machine that sews 1600 spm then slow it down - LOL
