Juki TL2010Q Question

Just wondering if anyone with this machine has a problem starting to sew again after using the auto cutter. The manual says I should be able to start sewing again even if I can't see the bobbin thread, but I cannot. Anyone have an idea as to what could be causing this? Many thanks.

I have only had that happen occasionally. When it does happen, I clean the bobbin area thoroughly and that seems to help. I have also had it happen when the thread wound onto the bobbin was close to the spindle of the thread. It was in a tight curve.

Yes, I can start sewing right away after cutting the thread. I have the Juki 2010 also.
The only thing I don't like about the cutter is that it makes a loud noise. The first time I heard it cut the thread I jumped back. I thought the machine blew up, lol . Well, not that bad. lol

Take the needle plate off and see if there's anything caught in the cutter. The cutter parts can get bent, and the blade can get dull. Worst case scenario, you might need to replace the cutter.

Also, some threads are more springy than others. You could adjust the auxiliary tension (the small one above the main tension), tighter or looser. It holds onto the thread when the presser foot is up.

Make sure you're using good thread -- not "hand quilting" or "outdoor" or "buttonhole twist" or anything like that.

Good Luck to You!

Thank you everybody! I've tried all suggestions to no avail, so I contacted my seller and he also suggested as you had. He believes the cutter may just be 'bad', and since I'm within my 30 days purchase, he is having me return the machine for a new one. I love the Juki and can't wait for my replacement! May I just say if you are looking to buy a Juki, I couldn't recommend SewVac more! These people are so helpful and got back to me immediately. Can't say enough good about them!!!

I'm glad you have experienced satisfying customer service and I hope your replacement machine is trouble free for you. I also have a 2010 and it is a fabulous machine.

Perfect solution, I have heard good things about SewVac. So much better than my local Juki dealer. Glad your problem will be resolved so quickly.
