I've read some great things about the June Tailor Shape Cut rulers on this site, but there are several to choose from and I'm not sure which one to start with. If you have used one of the Shape Cut rulers and you could only have one --general purpose one, which would it be?

I would get the one that includes the 1/4" increments :D:D:D

Thanks. I was thinking that might be the best one, but wanted to check with others.

The 12 x 12". If it doesn't have one, you can always use a permanent marker (fine) to draw a line to the outside of the first slit. That's all mine has for a 1/4" marker. Is that right.

Has anyone used the Shape Cut Too? It has 1/8, 1/4 1/2 and 1" lines, but the size of the ruler is 6" X 24". Sounds good, but don't know if the size is helpful.

I have the half inch one and love it.

I have all of them, I think, and I use the 6" x 24 a lot. I like the extra length for cutting strips.

Ditto, love mine!!

I have the 12 with 1/2 cuts. Friend has the 18 and it seems to wiggle on her a bit. But I put invisigrip on all the sides of mine and LOVE IT!

I have several of them, but mostly use the one with the 1/4" increments!!

Thanks so much. That is very helpful! Most of the quilt blocks I make calls for varying sizes of cuts. A lot have 1/4" cuts, so I was afraid the Shape Cut with only 1/2" would be too limiting.

Do you tend to use yours a lot? What do you do about other size cuts, such as 1/4" cuts?

I use mine all the time. If I need a 1/4 cut I use my trusty 6 1/2x24 ruler. They didn't have th 1/4 shape cut when I bought mine. Don't really want one, seems a little flimsy with so many close slots and I'm fine with my 1/2 inch one. Sometimes I think about the 1/4 one.
Maybe someone has had the 1/4 one long enough to tell if it lasts?

This is the one I got a couple of days ago and I love it!

I have the 12" with 1/2" cuts.I seldom do 1/4", so works for me.

Stitchnripper 11-01-2010 01:09 PM

I have the 12" 1/2" cuts too and love it. Finally I can get standard size strips or squares.

I went to Joann's today and bought the Shape Cut Too. Used my 40% off coupon. Came home and in my email was a link to a Joann's coupon for extra 20% off. :( Just missed it.
