Our Wal-Mart was one that had a nice fabric section and then when they remodeled the fabric was gone.....WOO Hooo another remodel and the fabric is back...not the selection they had but at least it is an option now.....fat quarters, jelly rolls, layer cakes....I am excited!!!! It is the closest "fabric Store" to where I live. I have done a lot of on line shopping but nice to be able to feel the fabric before I buy.

That is great. Our Walmart doesn't have much at all, and what they do have now, I either have or wouldn't use. You are lucky. :)

Hoping our local one adds it back too.

The Walmart in town has fat quarters and some prepacked charm squares, fat eights, and two yard packages. Awful prints and colors. Some of the pre cuts feel nice, the other stiff and thin. The Walmart in the next town has a big fabric dept. The manager of the fabric dept there said the store's business has increased dramatically, enough for a remodel of the fabric dept., when the fabric was taken out of the surrounding Walmarts in nearby towns. I order online for 95% of my fabric.

Guess I'm lucky in western Kentucky. The nearest Wal-mart is 30 minutes away and they have HUGE fabric section of on-the-bolt fabric! Listening to everyone else, I know I'm lucky!

My WalMart is three miles away and has plenty of fabrics with great coordinates coming in all the time. That being said, you do have to watch the density of the fabric. Some of the cutest ones are of a quality I wouldn't buy. I need an orange print for a sundress for a young friend. Wish me luck.
