Is it just me? :(
I bought a quilt kit, and it is called Collection for a Cause COMFORT 1860, Howard Marcus. IT also says 18th in series. It's a beautiful quilt..Looking forward to making it, if I can figure out all the different packs of fabric. I went through, checking off each one, and labeling, but am still confused a bit about it. Has anyone else made this particular quilt? It may just be me, being a little hard headed about it, but it seems a little confusing, but I sometimes have a knack for making simple hard...lol

visit the website - they probably have a help section for their series quilts. there is generally a color/fabric chart to use to help identify the fabrics.

I love quilt kits. I love that they mark each piece of fabric. You shouldn't have to mark it yourself and guess what it is. I would call the place you got it and ask them to tell you what each piece is for. Are you suppose to measure each piece and then look up the sizes and figure it all out yourself? That's kinda crummy for a quilt kit. They are suppose to make it easy for you. I would call and ask for help. You could make a mistake.

I've never seen a kit with the fabrics labeled. would have been nice though.

I've only ever bought one quilt kit, and they had a little color chart with a picture of each fabric and what you needed each for. So I'm no help, but I would think they would have some kind of guide like that with your kit.

I haven't bought any kits because I thought I might not be able to tell which piece was which. I would need a very precise guide

Homestead Hearth blew me away when I saw their kit. Each and every fabric for a complicated Lori Smith quilt was labeled and correct. These were for tiny pieces of fabric for "Honoring our Quilting Heritage" pattern. It is the only time I have seen such careful labeling and supposedly they are known for it.

That is a beautiful line of fabric!! I just finished a quilt called "Eldon" using that line, took it to quilt club meeting for show and tell and got lots of compliments on it. Your quilt will be beautiful!!

The only kit I ever bought is the Back To Nature. I identified all the fabrics but there are no cutting instructions so dont know if I will have enough fabric since many blocks use the same fabric. Im glad it is batiks as I can substitute from my stash if I run out of fabric.

I found the free pattern on the Moda site. This should help you identify the fabric.
