Is it just me....

I am new to everything and as an added challenge upgraded my sewing machine on Saturday...Last night my goal was to make a very simple tag for my first ever rag quilt (first ever any quilt)... I made 3 different "test" tags and when I got things like I wanted (and pretty darn good too - see - I am giving myself credit for doing something new & unfamiliar) I attempted the real tag.....EVERYTHING went wrong! While I was practicing, things got progressively better - no puckering, straight(ish), etc... when I started the real thing everything went wrong! I am laughing this morning and ready to jump back in, but last night, not so much....

Of course it messed up on the GOOD tag. Isn't that the way everything goes?

Just keep trying, it is bound to get better.

think of every tag as a practice tag.
maybe less pressure is all you need. :)

What do you mean by a tag? A quilt label?

At least you know you CAN do what you are trying to do!

Inquisitive minds want to know! I've never heard of "tags" either.

Have you tried using a stabilizer. I usually use a stabilizer, then trim of all the excess when I'm through. good luck
