i have been looking at those longarm quilting frames and was wondering if you can use any sewing machine with them ? i know there are a lot of different brand names out there and i cant get anyone to tell me if you can use any, or if you have to buy the machine too, please help

From what I learned, the machine will need a specific throat space, and depending on what frame, and accessories you may purchase i.e. stich regulator, or speed control-you may need a specific machine.

There are frames designed to work with your domestic machine. I have a Super Quilter. Others may suggest other frames.

Do a search here for long arm machines and you'll get all kinds of information.

You can also google Quilting frames for domestic sewing machines and get lots of hits.

My Janome MC6600 can be put on a frame too. That's also another reason I got this machine. Once I have the space for it, I may get the frame.

Many domestic machines can be used on many different home quilting frames. Many dealers will sell you a package but the machine is not permanently affixed to the frame. There are only a few home setups that are sold specifically with a certain frame & machine--Prodigy, Homesteader & KenQuilt are the ones that come to mind. Most of the true professional longarm systems are an all-in-one package.
