Thanks for your very sweet post. Of all the message boards I've frequented over the years, this one is my absolute favorite.... the people here are so wonderful, so knowledgeable, and so kind. There are always a few who are a little gruff and rough around the edges, but it takes all kinds to make a world, right?!

joycecil 08-24-2011 04:49 AM

Well put.

Quiltlady330 08-24-2011 05:13 AM

Wonderfully put. My sewing area used to be the space under our stairwell. I slid in and out sideways. lol

Absolutely - we are all quilters - artists regardless whether we have a small sewing space or a huge sewing room with a long-arm. We do what we do because we love the process and an outlet for our creativity.

All uplifting thoughts are most welcome. Thanks!

Great post! I was read a post from someone on here that quilted with her machine on a TV tray table and kept her supplies in a box. Now that's passion and creativity!!

PieceandLuv 08-24-2011 05:59 AM

I agree.......

There is no one else around me who understands my absolute need to quilt/create like my QB friends. Nor do they understand my appreciation and love for just looking at quilts. This place is a place I can come and know that I am not alone in my journey.

I think you are right on the money. I personally have a small part of the kitchen and sew/cut on the kitchen table but I am perfectly happy with my little space

Some of the most amazing quilts that have ever been made Dear Jane for an example—the woman didn’t even have a rotary cutter people! Yet a masterpiece was made because of the drive and passion she possessed. So it is encouraging to me that anything is possible and if we are blessed enough to have all the extras that is wonderful but don’t down yourself if you do not have the latest either. You are correct.

We can leave something in the world no
matter what equipment we have to work with.
