Just used my June Tailor Perfect Half Square Triangle ruler

What a nifty little tool! In addition to hst's and qst's, you can use it to draw diagonal lines for flippy corner blocks and for squaring up. The sad thing is that I've had it for about three years and never even tried it before this week. Oh well!

That's one ruler I don't have but will get one! Thanks for the tip

Mine is still in the wrapper. LOL I guess I better get it out and try it.

Nice to hear when a ruler comes in handy. Sometimes I don't want to spend the money on something I may not like.

Sounds interesting. I wish quilt shops would have a bunch of this stuff out as demos so we could try before we buy.

Sounds like maybe a good suggestion for quilt shops would be to have a class on various rulers!!

I agree! I have one too that's still in the wrapper. A demo would be helpful!

That would also work for quilt guilds!! I always enjoyed the demo when various people who show how their quilting tricks. I really still miss Simply Quilts on HGTV. That was one way a quilter could keep current on new products!!

I've used it for HST and QST but didn't know it did anything else. I like the slots for the rotary cutter, but I don't like the pencil marking slot - too much wiggle room.

Thanks for the tip

Great idea for quilt shop demos. I'm sure I got mine at Hobby Lobby or Michael's when a coupon was burning a hole in my pocket, but I don't think it was very expensive.

That is my most used ruler. I have two -- one in my sewing room and one in my UFO/Guild tools.

I just found a nice video on using the ruler at http://store.junetailor.com/store/p-...les-ruler.aspx I've been working for ever on a quilt that is all hst and qst using my regular square ruler. Of course, it's just about finished. Sure wish I would have seen this one before.

I love mine. Glad you are using it.

There's always You Tube videos which I have found to be absolutely wonderful, check it out!

ok, I love mine makes them so much easier to make 1/2 square triangles. If you belong to a quilt guild, get them to either have members demonstrate items like this or ask a local quilt shop to come in and demonstrate. Or you could contact the local quilt shop and ask the owners about a notions/rulers/gadgets demonstration class. Where I worked, we used to do it all the time. Kind of surprised more don't take advantage of this opportunity.

How on earth do you have new toys, and leave them in the wrapper? I guess I am shorter on patience than you. When I get a new toy/tool, I must play with it right away! Lol!
