I totally LOVE the speed control on my Babylock!!! It's wonderful for FMQ because I unplug the foot controller, and let my hands take over.

I love the speed control...If I want to go flat out I just put it on full. If I want to do some intricate work, I pull the speed right back and it gives me much better control when using the foot pedal...no sudden speed spikes if my foot 'twitches'...lol.
