Kaleidoscope quilt Border size- suggestions please

2 Attachment(s)
2 color kaleidoscope quilt was missing ' something ' so I think a 2nd wider border than the first 2inch border might look good and then binding in the same color as the first border. What do you think? And what size for the 2nd border? 6inch looks too wide? 3 inch too narrow?
All suggestions welcome!

To my eye, the first picture looks best. The white looks to be about the same size as the white in the blocks. The wider one seems to detract from the blocks. Great quilt, I love blue and white!

That is exactly what I thought was a good measurement : follow the wedge size. ...BUT ... the widest part of the wedge is 6 inches so I thought the 2nd border should be 6 inches except that when I rehearsed the layout the 6 inch border seemed a little too big! Immediately I thought someone here would have a better eye! 3 inch may be the solution... so much for exact 'formulas' ! Thanks

Yes, I go with the first one as well.

The first picture looks fine and I would quilt on it and I might quilt on the white border with dark blue thread. I might try a big border from the blue pattern in the quilt to see if I liked it instead of the white border.

I'm another who likes the first layout better than the second.

See if you like the white at 4".

I would prefer if the 1st border was narrower, as I feel the darker blue a bit over powering, maybe why I like the 2nd picture best.
