I also received the unsolicited DVD from National Quilters Circle. I am keeping it and I am NOT sending them any money. I like the DVD but I do not like the price of subsequent deliveries.
To the point, I saw the instructor using a Kaleidoscope tool that was just so way cool I must have one. After searching the web I cannot find one! Does anyone here know where you can buy a clear view Kaleidoscope? Also I liked the color wheel they used in the DVD. Any suggestions on where to purchase a good quilter's color wheel? Thank you so much for any suggestions my new quilting friends. Alice |
i think i got mine from clotilde or nancys

In my opinion, the best color wheel is called the 'Ultimate 3-in-1 Color Tool. It is very easy to use and most of the online quilt shops carry it. They say it is the one most used by graphic designers. It is quite inexpensive too.

I tried to find a website but apparently this company National Quilter's Circle is not well established. Based on what I've read and seen I would avoid getting involved with their DVD subscription service. Still trying to find that Kaleidoscope though!

I have a kaleidoscope ruler from Marti Michell. Her website is frommarti.com. Good luck!

I googled this product and found it on Amazon, but there are two versions, one is around $10 and the other one is $100! I cannot figure out what is included in the more expensive version. Does anyone have any information about this? Of course I am planning to purchase the lower priced version :-)

http://www.knitpicks.com/Magic+Marbl...e_AD80173.html FYI - this is not referring to the kaleidoscope blocks but to a tool for viewing fabrics to decide if you like the colors you've chosen. |
