I want to make a kalidescope quilt. Does anyone have an easy pattern I could start with.
Thanks,
Mary

This one includes the templates, you sew strips together, and then cut out your pieces

Here is another one :D:D:D

Thanks for the links, Amma! I've been looking for a pattern, too. I just didn't want to pay for one...LOL

What exactly do you call a Kaleidoscope quilt? Some people call the Stack 'n' Whack/One Block Wonder quilts Kaleidoscopes. It is also the name of several X shaped quilt blocks. Either way, there are lots of free patterns with templates on the web & a tutorial on this board for the One Block Wonder style.

I did a Kaleidiscope quilt a couple of years ago, another class I took, which turned out great. I remember, the pattern on the fabric I picked had to be repeated, not sure on amount and the quilt was done with only one fabric. It was amazing what everyone's quilts looked like. It had to be a flowing as opposed to geometric design. It was a free pattern, am going to look and see if I can find it. It was lovely, really.

Thank you Judy, I am looking forward to seeing what you can find. I found a book with patterns for advanced quilters but it was way over my head so will watch for your reply.
Thanks

Second reply. Judy, I found on on the Rober Kaufman group. It will do just what I wanted to try. Thanks for your help.
