I understand the fussy cutting of the blades but once you do that do you cut the middle circle out of the same fabric or is this supposed to all join together? Please help I want to do one of these,

Wish I could help but I am not sure at all. The Dresden I have seen were all different blades.

Most dresden plates have a hole/opening in the center - the center circle covers that.

Many quilters use a contrasting fabric for the center.

Do a search for dresden plates for ideas.

You can do it either way... using the same fabric gives it a continuity, and the blades may stand out more.

A different center may stand out more than the blades, depending on your fabric choice. :D:D:D

The only one it did had solid fabrics for the centers.
