Peddlar's Wagon is a neat quilt store in Parkville, which is about 10 to 15 miles north of where you will be staying. I think you would enjoy visiting this quaint small town.

I am driving from Iowa on I35. So I could probably hit it on the way home.
My sister from Virginia is there for a conference so I am going to spend a day or 2 with her. FUN.

Looks like you are less than an hour from Hamilton MO home of Missouri Star Quilt Co. You could spend a whole day (and a whole lot of $$)!
