I went into Joann's and looked around the fabric area. They have a small selection (about 20 bolts) of the two name brands listed above. They looked very good, not seconds. $9.99 -$12.99 / yard so about the same price as LQS. Only thing is if they go on sale or you have a coupon for 40% off it would be a good deal. I never noticed these brands there before. Does your Joann's carry them or is this something new? Matbe a sign of things to come?

My JoAnn's has always had a small selection of them, usually the same price as an LQS.

I find the big name manufacturers out here on the west coast regularly, great quality too :D:D:D

I love Kaufman fabrics. I have not seen them at my JoAnns, but then again, I don't shop my JoAnns fabrics, I only go there for notions etc. My quilts shops around here only charge $9-$10 for those name brand fabrics. I'd rather buy them at my LQS

My Joanne's is soooo small and the other is SOOOOO full of crafts and very limited fabric. I only go to Joanne's w/ coupons for batting and notions.

I usually don't buy fabric there either but looked around to kill some time. Congratulations on the new grandson.

Is it the same quality?

I'll have to check mine but I've never noticed either brand there. The quilting fabric section is quite small.
