Have any of you seen/used these rulers? I have just seen them and was curious if you felt they were better than Omnigrip or the frosted Olfa's? I'm beginning to think they are killing us with various rulers for our use. I believe she makes 17 different types. At the Bernina shop in Hancock's they had a box of 17 of them for $217.00 and thought......oh my here we go again. However that is a lot of various rulers and pricing them out individually might make it a good deal. Course I have all the omnigrips, etc.

Would appreciate your thoughts and opinions.

The price of rulers has gone way out of sight. If you order a ruler and pay the shipping charges you could almost buy a new home.

Oh Sewgull, you make me laugh.....yes it sure feels that way. I certainly don't need the rulers but they are a pretty pinkish color & some money I believe goes for quest for the cure. I also realize many things that advertise money going for that cause is very little.

I googled these, but I don't see that they are a whole lot different than others on the market. How many rulers can one person use? Just my opinion.

I do buy a few specialty rulers/templates, but I end up losing them or forgetting where they are or that I even have them LOL

This is another reason that EQ comes in handy  I can get any angle/shape I want for a template to match most patterns :D:D:D

Acctually I wanted to give my opnion on these, especially just having come from an all day seminar with her. These rulers are amazing. Now I'm not sure that you need ALL of them, however using these rules with her Smart Piecing techniques will save you alot of time and money.

Also the kit comes with her Smart Piecing DVD, if you have never seen Kaye...she is a RIOT! And her DVDs are very informative but best of all entertaining.

I would simply say to research them and then make a decision that works for you. After trying them I have about 6 of the different rulers and think they are worth the money.

So that's jsut my 2 cents on the whole thing.

I have some of her rulers and have been to one of her seminars. I agree with miholmes. You probably don't need all of them. I found it hard to line up the fabric in the small holes unless you have great light overhead.

Thanks everyone for your replies and advice....am thinking I'll just look for the ones I might use in the future.

The lady that was showing them to me was all gaga over the holes being great for centering but I did have my concerns over that especially since I understand my omnigrips so well and tend to be a creature of habit.

Many thanks again for your helpful thoughts!

I will say the holes that you line up fabric are FANTASTIC!! Fold your fabric selvage to selvage, press it and then line the holes up on the folded edge to make your "true cut."

That acctually is one of my favorite parts of these rulers in my opinion. And then with these rulers cut your strips and then use the 1/2 or 1/4 triangle etc.

Also these are "smart piecing" rulers. So instead of cutting your fabric at 7 and 7/8 you just cut your strips at 7 1/2 and then use the 1/2 square triangle. That saves you time and money on fabric.

Okay I could probably go on....but i won't :P I guess to short if it is, I really like these ones I have. :P
