Keeping blocks for WIPs

This is probably something everyone here knows but it was new to me. I often hang my quilt tops over hangers but I was at my sister's and she was showing me her BOMs so far. She uses pants hangers from department stores to keep them. You know the ones with the clips/clamps on them? Works like a charm. Everything stays flatly pressed.

I came home and gathered up four different sets of blocks from block exchanges I did on line and hung them that way. I also had fabric to go with some of them and I hung that on regular hangers beside them so that I didn't inadvertently use it for something else.

I hope someone else can use this hint. It is much better than the PIGS I had before.

Of course, I know I am fortunate to have a sort of empty closet in a spare bedroom to do this with.

I like it! Each of my WIP has a storage box, but folding & stacking is involved.

I sure like your idea, I keep mine in boxes that are always in my way.

Been using these for years love them. I also use them to hang dry panties and bras, even stockings and pantyhose.

If the hangers are plastic my hubby snips off the plastic clip and we use them for chips, cereal and etc.
