Ken Lund quilting frame
 

I've been watching the Ken Lund videos on you tube and thinking about getting one. Have any of you quilters tried these. If so do you recommend them. They look so user friendly.

There have been some good threads about this frame. If you do a search on Ken Lund in the search box at the top right of this page, you should be able to pull them all up. One of the threads contains photos of a recommended modification to make it easier to do circles. The reviews I have seen are all pretty good.

I bought one. I really like it. My mother bought one after she seen mine. She has not got hers set up yet.

I will tell you..if you do get one. Get regular wood for the runners. I got what he suggested (MDF) and they bend...so I am going to get pine 1x2's instead of the ones he recommends.

other then that it was fun to use. I have only used it on one quilt so far...got it less then 6 months ago..but I have three quilt tops waiting for me to use it with. I have to set it up on my kitchen table.

I had one. My problem was I live in a small cottage and could not find the room to use it. The sewing machine stayed still and you moved the frame that meant a 6ft frame required at least a straight run of 10 feet. 5 each side of machine. The frame worked well in the garden but we don't have all year round good weather..

Dottymo, I don't think that could have been a Ken Lund frame. With the KL frame, you move the machine; the frame is stationary.

It came fron USA or Canada I was disappointed I was sure I had it right. The frame was on wheels .

I wonder if she's thinking of the John Flynn frame.
