Someone gave me a very good Kenmore Sewing Machine.....Case broken but machine in great working order...Can anyone tell me where to buy a 1/4" seam allowance foot for this machine? I have the model and serial numbers.
Thanks |
I am guessing yours is a short shank. You should be able to use any short shank foot on your machine.
Most Kenmores are short shanks...and any short shank foot will fit it... :)
Yes, it is the short shank..........
Are all short shank the screw on type?? My machine that I have had for many years is a singer. Kenmore is new to me.
I have an older Kenmore and I went to a sewing/vacuum center. He sold me an adapter so that I can use the snap on feet from my Singers on it :D:D:D
I bought an adapter for mine so that my Singer snap on feet fit it too now  as well as other generics :D:D:D
You may be able to pick one up at Sears. I have a Kenmore from 2007, and they have them there for my machine.
If you can figure out what kind of shank it is , you might try a generic foot
Hancocks carries universal long and short shank feet that fit most machines.
I have the kenmore one and it uses Janome feet. I had gone to a store that has feet for all different machine & they told me that janome actually makes the kenmore brand so you can use any of their feet on your machine.
I have a kenmore and it has a short shank. You can use interchangable feet this that. I got an entire set of feet for mine online for under 10.00 It was a couple years ago but i think you will be able to get what you need reasonably

Kenmore parts are very reasonably priced. Check their website.

I have found that Janome feet fit my Kenmore machine, which is about five years old.
My 40+ year old Kenhmore has the old ultra-high-shank and there used to be an adapter for it that screws on and makes the regular low shank feet... fit. Be sure to tell the sewing machine repair store that you have the OLD ultra-high-shank Kenmre if that is the case. Sewing machine repair place is more apt to know what that refers to, I think, then regular sewing machine department employees... they werent even BORN when that machine was in use. Goodluck.
