Kona black
What's the difference between Kona Cotton Black and Kona Premium Cotton Jet Black? On fabric.com they are listed as the same weight/oz, but the price is different.

Hmm ... don't know. I know I've purchased regular Kona Black and it's lovely fabric. Nice hand, very little bleed. So if that one was cheaper buy it :)

Curious about the answer to this also. Could you ask fabric.com and see what they say?

If I remember correctly, the Jet Black is a richer, deeper black.

I like Michael Miller's Jet Black much better than Kona black.

Make sure they are the same width - I've noticed a difference in width when there was a difference in price. If that's not it, it may be the thread count is higher on the more expensive one.

Premium is the same width and the same weight, but I've heard it's a tighter weave than regular Kona Solids. I find no such claim on the Kaufman website, but retail shops are saying that's the case. Regular Kona is a 60 thread broadcloth. The Premium only comes in Jet Black and Ultra White.

It's my understanding that the jet black is double dyed. I was told this by the saleslady at Yoders in Shipshawana. I paid a little more for the jet black. It is beautiful fabric.
