is that $5 a yard? Can you get it cheaper? Sounds good if you like and will use it

Marshall's Dry Goods has Dream Cotton (about the same thing... same weight and quality), and it runs somewhat less than $5 a yard if you buy wholesale-- a whole bolt. Their bolts are about 30 yds. I've bought bolts of white, black, gray and creme. Love it! It's my favorite solid. Call the store and ask for a wholesale salesman. If I'm not mistaken, it's about $3 a yard on the full bolt.

It's a lot better price then the local quilt shops here for Kona. I use Marshall's Dry Goods (MDG fabric) Dream Cotton. Dream Cotton has never bled even the dark deep red. It's cheaper for the bolt but at least 25 yards on a bolt. Sometimes too much fabric for one color. The ten yard bolt is nice to have on hand for non basic colors and cheaper then buying the 25 yard bolt at one time.

I'd say I did look at it the other day when I got the email. I pondered then decided no. Not because of the amount, but simply doubted I'd ever use that much in the rest of my lifetime. I do have several yards in different lengths of black and white that I purchased paying less on sale than this price.

A large quilt will use five or more yards for the backing so ten yards really isn't a huge amount to have on hand. For anyone that uses a lot of solids in their quilts it is a good value. If you like flash sales, sign up for MS texts. You will get early access to sales, and super deals only on the texts. Yesterday the deal was the ten inch octagon template for $4.

That seems like a good price for backing fabric to me. I've been shopping all week for fabric for Christmas quilt projects. Yikes! The fabric prices are about double of what I paid the last time I stocked up. I usually shop the sales at Connecting Threads and MDG. They both run about the same in price.
